Experience the grandeur of one of America's Castles, a distinctive combination of historic Tudor Revival mansion, engaging exhibitions in three galleries and Wisconsin's only walled garden. The Tudor Revival Paine Mansion was built in 1927 for Wisconsin lumber baron Nathan Paine and his wife Jessie Kimberly Paine. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The mansion and its collections of American and European paintings, fine decorative arts, oriental rugs, and silver are open to tour groups by appointment. The beautifully landscaped formal gardens are also open for guided tours. Museum guides will lead a tour if you desire, sharing insights and background information to better help you understand the history of this wonderful historic attraction.
Your group can plan on spending several hours enjoying the Paine, although we are happy to customize a tour to your specifications. A dining option is available inside the historic mansion. We specialize in boxed lunches with a personal touch! Many special events, art exhibitions, floral displays and exciting programs are seasonally available. We can also suggest other nearby destinations, great shopping and a variety of dining options in Oshkosh.
Make plans to visit an exquisite cultural attraction. The warmth of the guides, the magnificence of the mansion and the beauty of the grounds will delight you and insure that your group has a wonderful Wisconsin experience.
